The Foundations' aims are: The relief from poverty and disability of current and former athletes, officials or employees of athletics. The provision and maintenance of medical and rehabilitation assistance and facilities. The provision of facilities and resources to enable, assist and encourage young people under 25 receiving education in athletic pursuits. Facilitation of disabled persons in participating in athletics events. Promotion of other charities by provision of advice, equipment and facilities. Prevention of drug abuse in sport.

Thank you for visiting Kate and Andy's fundraising page. We are aiming to complete the Great North Run this September to raise money for the Athletics Foundation.

This will be a huge achievement for Andy as he would rather be in the pub with his mates than pounding the streets - but he wants to do something so that his 3 lovely children will say "my dad did that" and be proud of his achievments  - and of course raise money for a great cause.

I love running and now that i am nearing the big 4 0 its another challenge and milestone in my life!
