Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
My good friend Paul Beament ('Beamers') died of mouth cancer on 8th December 2004 at the age of 34, only 10 months after being diagnosed with the disease, leaving a young widow Kez (Beamers and Kez are pictured on honeymoon before the diagnosis). He was a keen sportsman who did not smoke or drink and his death from this relatively little known cancer was a huge shock to his family and many friends.
I am running the London Marathon to raise funds for the Mouth Cancer Foundation and I would really appreciate your help in my endeavours. I last ran the Marathon 12 years ago, in my life before children and the training certainly seems harder now but knowing that my efforts will help others in Beamers' position makes the 7am 20 'milers' easier.
The Marathon is now less than 3 weeks away and I am starting to taper my training, just hoping that I've done enough to see me through the whole distance.
If you want to know more about Beamers' story or mouth cancer go to: www.paulbeament.org.uk
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mouth Cancer Foundation Limited will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
