One World Action is an international development agency and registered charity. We work with local partners in developing countries across Africa, Latin America and Asia to ensure that marginalised people have a voice in the decisions that shape their lives. We provide funding, training and capacity building, while challenging unjust international policies on aid and trade. We link our partners together and support them in speaking directly to decision makers because people are always their own best advocates.

My story

Dear All

I just did it! I ran the British 10k London Run!!!!

Together with Michael and Nancy I fought my way through wind and rain and managed to arrive at the finish line with a huge smile on my face. Nancy and I ran together and hit the finsih line after 59minutes!!!! A true record and much faster than I initially predicted!

One World Action was cheering in front of Big Ben which gave me energy for the last kilometer and chocolate brownies awaited us at the OWA picnic area.

It was a lovely run, despite the weather, that went much better than anticipated- a bit too smooth almost...

Back home I went swimming to relax my muscles and had a big portion of spagetti and a piece of choclate cake to re-energise myself

Now it's time to relax and to THANK all of you who have supported me!!!! Your support motivated me to take up running again and it kept me going on days that I did not feel like practicing. I raised more than 280pounds which is amazing and so much more than I expected!!!
