Thanks for taking the time to visit Kathy's JustGiving page. Kathy loved Tibet, India and Nepal and was passionate about the treatment of the Tibetan People by the Chinese. When we were in Tibet a Chinese State film crew asked to interview us as the Chinese president was visiting. "Isn't it great what China have done in Tibet?" asked the reporter. "NO" Kathy replied "you have taken their jobs, destroyed their culture and stopped them owning their own businesses".
I thought we were going to jail for that one and her insistence on taking a picture of the Dalai Lama to Tibet, despite his image being banned by the Chinese authorities. Not only did she take it but she also gave it to a local Tibetan. To learn more about Tibetan Culture try 'Stick Out Your Tongue' by Ma Jian which was one of Kat's favourite books. Please give generously as she would prefer this to flowers.
