The charity works to increase knowledge, awareness and understanding, and campaigns for improved standards and availability of care. beat's telephone helplines take 20,000 calls a year. They support a UK-wide Self Help Network and provide awareness training across the UK.

My story

Hi all,

Thank you for visiting our little fundraising page..

Martyn and I are going to be running the Bupa 10 000 in May in an attempt to raise some funds for beat (For those of you who are unaware of the charity's work there is a little explanation in the box to the left <----)!

Its a charity that means a lot to us, they have provided me with lots of help and support in some very tough and lonely times, and helped those who have had to deal and live with the nightmare I have been known to be.

We'd really like to show our appreciation by helping them continue their good work..and rather cheekily we'd like your help too..so please click the "Sponsor us now" button and donate whatever you can!
