Story
Thank you to everyone that has donated so far, it really is putting thr necessary pressure on me to get ready to race x
**At 19 months old my son James was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.**
3 years later and his diabetes is managed well with the support of our nurse, family, friends and school but is not without it's challenges. Unfortunately, hypos are a dangerous, potentially life threatening daily occurence and every day he runs too high causes damage to his tiny organs.
I decided to do this run to raise some money for a great charity that not only carries out research but puts systems in place to support families like ours and children like James.
I started out not being able to run to the end of my street without collapsing and within a few dedicated weeks I was able to run a mile. Everyone has told me that with these sorts of events you can walk/run it, however I have decided to try my very best to run ALL of it. If James can have needles stuck into him several times a day for the rest of his life, suffering through this is the least I can do!
Anyway, thanks for visiting my page and sponsoring me. Literally every penny helps so be it £1 or £100 it's wonderful. The charity have asked that I raise £200 but I would really like to get £500 and seeing the money role in will spur me on...I will not let you down!
Thanks once again
Kat & James xxx
