"Why should I sponsor Katy in the Great East Swim" I hear you ask!!! Here are the reasons:

I love swimming, but have never attempted to swim in an open water event. This means I'm swapping a warm, calm swimming pool for a mile long swim in the wild waters of... Suffolk. No wall to push off after each length, wind, waves.... Remind me why I'm doing this again? Ah yes....

The charity I'm supporting is Right to Dream.

Right to Dream’s vision is ‘to provide underprivileged African children who come from a background of extreme poverty the opportunity to fulfil their true potential in life through sport and education and ensure that these children are motivated and empowered to make meaningful, lifelong contributions to their community and country’.

More specifically I am fundraising to help cover the costs of a comprehensive health education programme that will be designed and implemented at all Right to Dream projects, as well as the development and delivery of the science education programme.
