Just Walk 2009 - a HUGE challenge
We did it!!!
On 9 May 2009 Chris and I took part in the BIG 60k walk over the South Downs. That's just over 37 miles in a day. It really, really hurt, actually it still really hurts today (Monday). We set out at 8.30 am and finished at 9.30 pm, taking 3 x 20 minute breaks. That means we completed the walk in 12 hours, excluding breaks, so our average speed was 5k per hour - not bad over such a long distance.
