We fund equipment and research to care for special babies

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Our baby boy Ethan was born 8 weeks prematurely on Christmas Eve 2008 and spent 4 weeks being cared for in the Liverpool Womens Neonatal Special Care Unit. Fortunately Ethan was well and was only cared for as he needed a feeding tube until he was old enough to feed himself. Other babies aren't as lucky and need a lot of specialised care and treatment to enable them to survive.

The aims of The Newborn Appeal are :

  • To purchase more specialised equipment for use in the Neonatal Unit of this Hospital
  • To continue with Research to improve the quality of care for the delicate babies looked after in the Neonatal

         Intensive Care Units

  • To establish a unique research programme which would place the care of the newborn on Merseyside at the

forefront and add to Liverpool's already excellent reputation for medical science

Please help us to raise money for this very worthwhile cause. We are taking part in the Liverpool 5 Km Santa Dash 2009 on 6th December 2009.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Liverpool Women's Maternity Hospital Special Care Baby Unit Appeal gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

    So please sponsor us now!
