Pebbles Project enriches the lives of children from disadvantaged backgrounds with special educational needs, especially those whose lives are affected by alcohol, through providing support and training to local wine farm and township creches and establishing after-school provision for older children living in the Winelands area of the Western Cape in South Africa.

My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This continues to support the fine work being done by Pebbles www.pebblesproject.co.za

I have opened this new page as The Pebbles team are now looking to the future and aiming high and want to plan towards a dedicated Pebbles centre, complete with training rooms, computer lab for kids, offices for staff, social worker and clinic nurse - really a place where they can address all the children's needs.

Presently Sophia and her small but very dedicated team work from a small rented office in a coffee/wine shop and this is obviously unsuitable for the many children the charity now supports.

It is hoped that land can be obtained from the Government and/or Municipality so that all the funds raised can be used for the building and its contents.
Many thanks for your generous support and you can be certain that every penny donated will go directly to the charity and all of it will be kept in an interest bearing account pending the finalisation of the site.
