A close family friend, Maggi, passed away at the beginning of the year from cancer. Another friend and colleague, Ed Dubois, passed away last week. My auntie Ruth who beat breast cancer two years ago was told last week that it is back and aggressive. That's three people close to me and my family who have been affected in the first 3 months of this year. This is not just something that happens to other people. It happens to people we all know, love and respect.
