On Sunday 14th June i will be taking part in the Rainbows 15 mile Walk for Life in Leicester. This year instead of raising money for the Rainsbows Childrens Hospice, i will pay an entrance fee and collect money for The Chris Jones Riders Fund. For those of you that dont know anything about the CJ Fund visit http://www.cjnine.com/.
The CJ Riders Fund is all about making riding as safe as possible by providing medical equipment and services at the race track and, as a registered charity, they hold various fundraising events throughout the year.
The CJ Riders Fund was established in early 2006 when 14-year-old Chris Jones lost his life in a tragic racing accident at Cadwell Park in August 2005. The CJ Riders Fund (CJRF) was set up in Chris’ memory to raise money within the motorcycle industry to provide vital medical equipment and improve the safety at the British Motorcycle Races.
We also remember other riders who have lost their lives:
Ashley Martin, who died at Cadwell Park on 27th August 2006
Guy Sanders, who died at Mondello Circuit on 17th June 2007
Ollie Bridewell, who died at Mallory Park on the 20th July 2007
Craig Jones, who died at Brands Hatch on August 4th 2008
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Chris Jones Riders Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Many Thanks
Kelly
