My daughters Kerry, Natasha and I are running The Great Eastern Run in Peterborough on the 10th October 2010, for the last year we have been running to keep fit but have never attempted a half marathon before! We are running for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and would be extremely grateful for any donations.
Currently up to 7 miles still along way to go!!!!!!!
Just Ollie's enthusiasm alone will keep us going, he gets so excited when the trainers come out!
Sorry about the delay i've been meaning to update this for a couple of weeks. We all completed the run it was a lovely sunny day a bit hot for running i have to say!
Our times were Kerry 2hr's & 27minutes
Sandra 2hr's and 33 minutes
Tasha was 2hr's and 47 minutes
It was a great day we all had a great time Kerry couldnt walk the next day which i found quite funny.
I would just like to say a big THANKYOU to everyone that has sponsored us we raised a total of £344.51 for the guide dogs.
Guide Dogs was founded in 1931, and is a charity that receives no government funding for the guide dogs service. The guide dog service is entirely dependent on voluntary donations. The guide dog service costs the guide dog owner a nominal fee of just 50 pence to ensure equality for all in the UK.
