Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In April 2010 Kerry Mutch will be trekking and camping in the mountains of Peru to find the lost city of Machu Picchu to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis trust. However the icelandic volcano thought otherwise. Unfortunately Paddington and I only got to Stoke! where I was rescued by Karen going to a hen party in the Lakes, me and my walking/camping gear and all them looking very glam!!

We had managed to bypass terrorism, strikes, floods and landslides, even the train at machu Picchu had just opened but natural disasters continue to show how powerful and devastating they are. Today Sat I should have finally been reaching Machu Pichu. Im not sure if Im destined to go to Peru as the next trip is scheduled for Sept when I have an exam for the prescribing course, it also depends on insurance cover. The most important factor however is the fabulous MS Trust  dont miss out and still get their valuable recources for the worthwhile work they continue to do.  A big THANK YOU for all your donations in making this a memorable fundraising year.

I will probably walk hadrians Wall which is 84miles east to West a few hills and old rocks and monuments along the way very similar to Peru just without the altitude which must be a bonus!.

Thank-you for visiting my page and for your donations.

Oh boy next  wk I reach the heights of Machu Picchu I have the first and final major climbto 3000 ft at the Moelwyns in N Wales on saturday, although height wise is only 1/5 of the dizzy heights I will be hopefully be reaching I wish myself luck but know it will be worth it to add hope to all MS people outthere who are helped by MS trust

Oh my goodness I cant believe Paddington and I go trekking in peru in less than 1month!

Thank-you to everybody whom has helped me out with fundraising and trying to get fit, including the warrington walking group whom are a great bunch and will continue to go out with them after Peru. Thank-you to all who have bought a quiz and kept the funds ticking over towards the new target which ms trust will benefit from.

Hi all, well ive got a new way of training for altitude and thats get a chest infection, 10 shuffling steps and pause for a breath, 5 stairs and pause for breath im on antibiotics and hopefully back on track soon.

Happy New Year to you all. After 1 week merry making, eating and drinking too much and not entertaing the gym. I put on my boots Sat in glorious sunshine and 15cm of snow to walk 16mile circuit. At the end my feet hurt, knees were stiff and hips could barely climb the stairs Oh what fun; Look out Peru!

I have a few thank-yous from last week for the super fundraising efforts, first of all to Avril who donated half her speaker fees when at the MS nurse AGM  she gently reminded usabout family and work priorities who really misses us when we are not there?? Next thank-you to the nurses and members of the MS trust meeting whom sponsored me

Thank-you also goes to Morrisons and all its customers when we were allowed to collect and give information, raising awareness on MS, mind the tin of chocolates was useful in getting the kids over, so thanks to Mum, Dad, sister and Husband whom made it possible and collected £265

Paddington and I have trekked in the witch country of Pendle, which was just about on the edge of massive storms so only got a bit wet but very dramatic skies

For those that laughed at my circuit training  well I tried again (in the comfort of my own company!!) I only did 20 of each exerciseand less weights but at least i completed it - just! I could breathe the next day but again every bit of cuddle ached for 4 days it can only get better!!!!!!!

Paddington Bear has now joined me in my practice walks, I have joined a local rambling group and last Sat 17 Oct we did 11miles along Offas Dyke, a very warm pleasant day and so much more enjoyable walking with others than on my own.

5 oct MS social and fundraising evening at Christleton raised £150 pounds, the Masons lodge made a lovely supper and a very pleasant evening was had by all. Thanks to Alice (my daughter) and her friend Jenny who helped me out. Thank you to Sarah and Jenny for making jam and cakes and to Irene for making fabulous cards.

Ok Summers over and now the fitness regime must start in earnest, we now have park and ride at work so 2 mornings i am walking in. the gym is back on and I will get going.

25/9/09 Whoa I spoke too early. I tried circuit training and should have been warned when the SAS trainer said this was the hardest class he took in the week, i really should have walked out then!

It didnt sound too bad, in partners 10 exercises 30 repetitions the problem was all 300 exercises had to be done in one go. I got about 2/3 before collapsing, I couldnt breathe sounded like I had a chest infection for 2days and then the pain started every bit of flesh ached for 4 days!!

I am worried about altitude and the state of my poor lungs was an embarressement that I really need to clear up. someone said it will get easier next time oops I missed the class as it was Simons first referee football game!

My fund-raising events so far are

The next event is a social evening at Masons Lodge, Cheshire View, Christleton on Mon 5 Oct cost £7.50 for a buffet, please contact me if you would like to come along

Garden party and strawberry tea. we put up 2 gazebos just in case however the summer sunshine was good to us. Believe it or not I made strawberry jam and chutney!! (I was so impressed with myself) friends made cards we sold Pimms (lovely summer drink) had a tombola and raffle. Tickets sold for the event went into a raffle for £20 M+S vouchers. We made £670 so a big thank-you to all those that helped.

Mamma Mia singalong. Whilst the husband and kids were away Kerry will play. Friends came contributing to a greek buffet and sang our hearts out to Mamma Mia raising £170

Finally, there is an on-going quiz £1 checking your knowledge on proverbs
