Hi everyone thank you so much for taking the time out to visit my page !
My brother in law, Mark Noone was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease a year ago. How does a family come to terms with the fact that someone they know and love, a healthy, fit young man, a husband and a father of two, has a fatal neurological disease for which there is no cure ? Well ............ I'm not really sure you do come to terms with it ? We took a deep breath, rallied together as a family and continue to do everything we can to try to ensure that life is as fulfilled and as happy as possible for Mark, Erica, Abbi and Clark.
Motor Neurone Disease makes simple, everyday tasks that you and I take for granted exceptionally difficult - eating, swallowing, speaking and walking.
My family.................. a team !
Mark has a wonderful wife in my sister Erica. I can honestly say I have never seen her down - not once ! This is the situation in which she has found herself and she gets on with it all with a quiet dignity.
Many of you will also know my mum and dad, Eric and Eleanor - where would we be without them ! Mum and dad are Erica and Mark's main support mechanism and do a million different things to help out we would be lost without them !
Abbi and Clark - the light of our lives, making us laugh a million times a day !!!
MND Scotland do a wonderful job of supporting people affected by Motor Neurone Disease and with continued fundraising hope one day to find a cure -
Please sponsor me for the Firewalk (walking on red hot coals) taking place on 12th March 2010 to raise funds for MND Scotland - Thank You so much for reading my story and for donating so generously !
