My story

Simon Cowell:   What's your name and what do you want to do?

Me:                     My name's Kevin and I want to run round in a circle for ten kilometres.

Simon Cowell:   I see. And how long have you wanted to do that.

Me:                     Well I've been running for a while. This is my 3rd 10k. But I'm not especially good at it.

Amanda Holden:   Are you being very brave by doing this Kevin?

Me:                       Er, no. Why?

Amanda Holden:   Well, it would help if you were overcoming an advertisy. Then when we showed you finishing the race over Snow Patrol, everyone would cry.

Me:                        I see. It's for charity ... it helps local playgroups and kids with autism.

Simon Cowell:     You're going to have to do better than that.

Me:                        Well my kids are going to run this year. A mile each and by sponsoring me you'll be sponsoring them.

Amanda Holden:   Oh, that is lovely. *blubs*

Duncan Bannatyne:   I've heard enough. You don't even have the patent for running. And you aren't one of the best in the country. I'm out.

Simon Cowell:      With respect, Duncan, I think you're in the wrong hastily written parody.

Duncan Bannatyne:   Ah, right you are.

Piers Morgan:      I went on a plane once. They gave me a Pepsi in a really little can and it was free!

Simon Cowell:      I think we're getting off topic. What do you want to achive with this run, Kevin?

Me:                        Well to complete it. And it would be great to raise a bit of money. People don't have to give much, a quid or two is fine. And then I would like to run round in circles at the Royal Variety Performance.

Piers Morgan:      You're never going to believe this but they showed films on the plane. I watched the Hulk three times.

Simon Cowell:      Shut up Piers. Okay Kevin, it's crunch time. are you ready?

Me:                        As ready as I'm going to be.

Simon Cowell:   Good luck.
