About my charity
:
Hornsey YMCA
Hornsey YMCA provides affordable housing, sporting, recreational and childcare services for the local community. Hornsey YMCA has organised its annual Crouch End 10k and Children's 1 mile fun run since 1991, and 2008 is celebrating its 18th year. The event has raised more than £125,000 for good causes since 1991, and in 2008, for the first time in in the event's history, its fundraising efforts will focus on a YMCA cause - the Hornsey YMCA Children's Bursary Fund. 20% of all sponsorship raised will also go to a variety of local children's charities, including Action for Kids, Treehouse and the 101 Playgroup. | My personal message: |
UPDATE - I completed the race in 55 minutes which was well within my target time of seven hours. Many thanks to all who have supported me so far. Hello I'm running 10 whole kilometres on the 18th May. Perhaps you'd like to sponsor me. I suggest that you work out what you would have sponsored me for a marathon and then divide that figure by four and that should be about right. When i say 'running' I do mean that in the broadest sense. There's a very steep bit around Alexandra Palace and if I happen to walk there for a while you will, I'm afraid, still have to pay the money. Last year the winning time was 33 minutes. I intend running for at least twice that time so that's twice as good, surely..
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Hornsey YMCA will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
