WE DID IT!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Rising 19,340 feet above sea level, Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa and the world's highest free standing mountain. Having previously flown over it, I signed up to climb the mountain as part of the Thomas May Executive Quest Charity Challenge in aid of PROSTaid and LOROS two local charities with all monies raised being split equally between them.
Our trek began on 16 September 2010 and after what can only be described as one of the most memorable weeks of my life, we reached the summit at 08.10am on 21 September 2010. I was accompanied on the trip by my sons Kumar and Amar and my nephew, Vimal and his son Madhav who live in Nairobi, Kenya. I hope you enjoy the pictures I have posted.
