Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Donating through this site is
simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to
sponsor me: Lowe Syndrome Trust will receive your money faster and, if you
are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost
to you.
Ian Filby, David Hughes, Andy Kimmerling and I will be climbing
Mont Blanc between 10th and 16th July. We are paying all of the costs of the
trip ourselves, and so all the money that I am raising will go to the Lowe
Syndrome Trust. My close friends Andrew & Lorraine Thomas have a son Oscar
who suffers from Lowe's Syndrome.
Children diagnosed with Lowe Syndrome
suffer a most horrendous incurable disease that affects the brain, eyes,
kidneys, bones and muscles. Life expectancy is short. As you can imagine, it
is an uphill struggle competing against larger well known charities but with
your support, this rare children's disease and the need for medical research
could be highlighted and make a world of difference to Lowe Syndrome
children.
I am very grateful for your support, which will be very valuable in helping
us turn 'care into cure' for sufferers of Lowe Syndrome. Knowing that i am
raising money for a exceedingly worthy cause will drive me on to succeed in
getting to the top of the highest mountain in Europe.
Thank you
David Kilbourn
