What an amazing Day is was. Taking me a little longer than anticipated at 5:56:15......we site the rain, hail and toilets Q's in part! It was a truly wonderful experience. Thanks to everyone who has supported my run! I'll be winging about in the next week to collect pledges and hopefully make my goal! It's not too late to donate if you haven't already! I've had a week to recover and it's been grand!! On, on!

       As most of you will know my Dad was a life long sufferer of Asthma and very sadly he passed away on the 25th August 2007. I wanted to find a way to thank him for everything he has done for me, honor his memory and benefit people who share his affliction. I am running for my Dad, David L. Forbes in aid of Asthma UK.

Asthma UK is a fantastic orginaztion the helps people to manage their asthma, get access to health care for their condition and they have a special emphasis on helping youth to out grow their asthma so they can go on to live active lives.

Just a little update to say that my training is going very well so far.

This past Monday I ran 21 miles in all sorts of 'fresh' weather....read, Snow, Hail, Sleet and freakish burtsts of sunshine! (That's 32 ish k) I've also given up alcohol for the two month prior to the Marathon so that means I haven't had a beer in over 6 weeks!
