Keynsham and District Mencap is explained briefly to the left, but it does not reflect how appreciative its members and members families are of the services and activities provided.  They pay for their membership and for activities such as football, canoeing, cooking, going to the cinema or even the pub. (the list is endless) It doesn't come cheaply for something that we take for granted being able to do with out the extra support.   

So this year we are aiming to take them to the pantomime in Bristol (you can come too, we'll let you know which night we are going!) as a special christmas treat.  With the Dragon Boat race (I've just read exactly what is involved!! 3 250m races with 16 paddlers and a drummer) all the proceeds go directly to Keynsham and District Mencap which makes the pantomime more of an obtainable goal, with maybe even a bit left over for some pop at the christmas party.
