Hi and thanks for visiting my Justgiving web page.
In 2007 I visited Nepal with my family to treck in the Himalayas as part of a medical expedition lead by staff at Great Ormond Street.
During our visit we stayed in Kathmandu and I was sad to see how poor a lot of the children there are. There were children living in the streets who were very dirty. They begged and sniffed glue from bags which they held over their faces. They looked sad and none of them smiled or laughed.
After we got back my teacher, Mrs Payton, gave us some homework to write a newspaper – Dad helped me design the name and I decided to try to sell some copies to raise money for the children I had seen. I started by selling it to my Mum and Dad and Grannies. Soon word started to get around and people were asking to subscribe.
I have been amazed by how generous people have been through their donations.
All the money raised has gone to a really small charity called Child Action Nepal. It runs an orphanage for 20 children. The lady who founded the charity is called Florence Krief and she sends me newsletters, so anyone who wants to find out more about this amazing charity can get in touch with me at
or you can

I hope you enjoy THE KAT and thankyou for supporting me in my fundraising.
Lastly, if you think anyone you know would like to receive THE KAT, remember to put them in touch.
Many thanks for your support.
