We did it !! All went according to plan, we set off from St. Davids at 06:00 and 380 miles later at 18:00 we arrived in Ness Point Lowestoft.
No wrong turns and only stopping for fuel plus breakfast at 13:00 (a quick bacon butty and cup of tea from a roadside van) .
A big thanks due to Pete Soden who set off in the support van two hours after us but didn't manage to overhaul us and arrived 10 minutes after us in Lowestoft.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After much planning the date is finally set for the Coast to Coast challenge - The wide one !
On 25th July Andy (EagleStan) Ball and Nik (Kwackers) Wallis will be attempting to ride across the widest point of Britain on standard (50cc) FS1E's.
Setting off from St. Davids, the most westerly point in Wales, the route goes past Carmarthen, Llandovery, Brecon, Hay on Wye, Hereford, Worcester, Stratford, Warwick, Northampton, St Neots, Ely, Thetford, Diss, Beccles and finally to Lowestoft, the most Easterly point in England (and Britain).
The route will be around 380 Miles, I rode it in March on my Tiger but we will have to amend the route around Wellingborough as the roads I used were unsuitable so it may be slightly longer.
The challenge is to complete the journey in a day.
From previous experience we are expecting to average 30-40 miles per hour so the actual riding time is 10-12 hours, plus fuel stops.
All funds raised will go to the Lincolnshire Air ambulance as they are an essential service to bikers in such a rural county as Lincolnshire.
