Women's Therapy Centre

The Women's Therapy Centre aims to provide psychotherapy to women who traditionally have not had access to therapy, including women on low incomes, women from black and minority ethnic communities and refugees and asylum seekers. It has expertise in working complex including childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence and eating problems.

My story

We are running to raise money for the Women's Therapy Centre, which provides psychotherapy for women who've experienced things that most of us will never have to deal with - stuff like war, displacement as refugees, childhood abuse, major trauma.

Many of these women don't have the resources to fund therapy, but they benefit enormously from the services at the Centre, which helps them move into more fulfilling lives.

If the Centre raises £10,000 it will fund therapy for 87 women - we are helping to reach this target.
