My story

L'Arche ODF fundraises in northern Europe to help sister Communities in developing countries around the world. Our money helps with running costs and provides facilities, training and other tangible support. We are currently helping Communities in Uganda, Zimbabwe, Poland and India.

In accordance with the Charter of L’Arche we are 'in solidarity with the poor of the world, and with all those who take part in the struggle for justice'. These Communities are havens offering home, education and work to people with learning disabilities. They often rank low on the agenda for state help in their particular countries.

In Uganda and Zimbabwe the Communities are specifically for children and young adults who have been orphaned or abandoned, or whose families cannot manage to care for a disabled child alone. For many, L'Arche is the only family they have ever known.

Please add your support for Communities which still need our help as they struggle towards greater financial security and self-sufficiency.
