Yeah, thanks to all of you who have donated already! I'm almost half way to my goal :)) First day of training today: 8km in 1hour... I know I'm not a champion yet, but I'll get there. Haha!

I am running this race to raise money for Emergency. It hasn't been long since I've found out that Emergency is actually active across the Alps and I haven't thought twice about getting involved with this amazing Italian NGO.
For the ones among you who know me personally, you'll know this is also a personal achievement as I'm finally overcoming a decade of hibernation, ahah! Anyway, I'm not kidding, if this goes well, I'm planning already a couple of others events to get involved with by the end of 2012. So please, help my motivation to stay high!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Emergency gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

A maggio partecipero' a questa corsa a Londra per raccogliere fondi per Emergency. Qualche mese fa ho scoperto la sede di Emergency qui a Londra, e mi ci sono buttata a capofitto, aiutando con l'organizzazione di eventi per raccogliere fondi.
Chi mi conosce, sa che ammiro Emergency e il loro lavoro da anni, ed e' una bellissima sensazione poter essere coinvolta ancora di piu', e sperare di offrire un (sebbene piccolo) contributo a questa fantastica NGO.
Gli amici piu' cari, sapranno che questo è anche un successo personale, dato che sto cercando di uscire dal mio stato di letargo perenne partecipando a qualche evento sportivo, haha! Quindi il vostro supporto sara' doppiamente apprezzato, perche' manterrete alta la mia motivazione!
Non importa quanto donate, ogni centesimo conta! Grazie mille :)

I made it! 01hr04mins under the scorching sun. Totally worthy, an amazing experience. I'm glad about my time and my fundraising goal, it's just fab. Thx to all of you who made it possible :) BTW Donations are accepted up to 3 months after the event. Pls don't stop donating xx
