Hi, thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
I am taking part in a voluntary placement working with Age Concern. I will be raising money for the charity by working individually and as part of a team organising and holding specific events. The amount I aim to raise for the charity is £3,000.
I will also by taking part in a challenging trek inBorneo. The trek will be taking place on the 11 September 2009 and will last for 10 days. The trek will be physically challenging as it will involve a two day trek to summit Mt Kinabalu (4,095m-the highest mountain inSouth East Asia). Then we will proceed with a challenging 170km cycle ride over a two day period throughCrockerMountainrange (known as the 'spine of sabah). The challenge finishes with a white-knuckle raft down the Padas river! More information and the itinerary of the trek itself can be found at http://www.globaladv.org/events/borneo/Borneo.html.
Age concern helps thousands of elderly people every year, and makes the later stages in life more comfortable and enjoyable, age concern’s services involve day care, learning and leisure, good companions, friendly neighbours, information and advice along with many other services. More information about the charity and what they do can be found at http://www.ageconcerncheshire.org.uk/index.htm.
No donation is too small, every donation will help me reach my goal, thank you for your time and any donation made will be greatly appreciated.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Age Concern Cheshire gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you x
