Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Dad and I have decided that we should doing something exciting and challenging, just for a change! And so having seen the advert for this Charity Ride, and having decided that it looked just about demanding enough to tempt us....we are going to cycle from the Taj Mahal to Jaipur (also known as the Pink City) in 5 days, at the end of November, to raise money for the men and women who have become tetraplegic as a consequence of sporting injuries. This not least because of the nature of equestrian sports; eventing, racing. It presents something of a test as the nearest either of us has been to a bike in the last year or so is the rusting objects sitting outside!
We have been and bought new hybrid bikes (much to our disappointment they weren't a hybrid of manual and engine driven, but of mountain and road bike!) and with the passing of Belton we are starting our training in earnest, which means that unfortunately we can no longer count going down the road to check the horses, or down to check on the bonfire as training, but I must say the I am looking forward to seeing Dad in all his lycra splendour! I do promise that there will be photographic evidence from the trip, including lycra....
Every little helps, so would be hugely grateful to all donations, however small! We will also both be having fundraising events, which will be during the summer, and will be widely advertised, so please do support us as this is something that we both feel is very relevant and worthwhile.
Thank you for all your support and we look forward to seeing you at some point throughout the year, and will let you know how it all goes through the year, and after the bike ride!
