My half marathon challenge
Running Wild !
This marathon takes place in Northern Kenya, near Mount Kenya. It has gained a reputation for being hard - running at 5,500 feet and on a dirt track, it's a long way away from the gentle green spaces of NW3. The Kenyan marathon route passes a large marshy swamp full of crocodiles; and we may get to see a few wild animals along the way.
Why do it ? Well, it's running 22 km through some of Africa's most breathtaking (literally!) scenery. The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, by establishing and promoting community driven conservation projects, helps keep it that way.
If you get a moment, please have a look at : http://www.tusk.org/ and/or http://www.lewa.org/
Many thanks for sponsoring me and supporting wildlife conservation !
