It's insane, why did I ever say I would do it? THE LONDON MARATHON??? That's bonkers, for goodness sake I am 43 and should be putting up my feet up and watching lots and lots of tele. Instead, 6 days a week, rain, snow, sleet (no shine this winter) I am pounding around London trying to get fit enough to run London.
To compound the brutal training sessions I would like to raise money for the awesome Breast Cancer Haven a charity that is close to my heart and one that does incredible work. Each of the three Havens in Britain provides support, advice and help for people with breast cancer and their families. The network of Haven's are staffed by specialist teams who provide a welcoming place for visitors giving counselling, information and complemetary therapies before, during and after medical treatment.
1 in 9 women will be affected by breast cancer and 300 men per year. That means either directly or indirectly each and every one of us at some point in our lives will be affected by this horrible disease.
The answer is simple, if I do all the hard work (trust me it's hard) all you need to do is dig deep, think of a number and double it so that I can raise much needed funds for this awesome charity.
We all know Just Giving is safe and easy, so go on, be brave and hit the button below.
And last of all, Thank you, thank you, thank you. Laura xxxx
