Some of you may already know that Mark Evans the CEO of Harlequins has decided to walk 150 miles around London in 6 days to raise £20,000 for Friends United Network which is a brilliant children's charity in North London.
He has invited people to do parts of the walk with him. Tomorrow is Day 3 and my task is to walk 27 miles from Ewell to Uxbridge, taking in the delights of the Heathrow flight path, Grand Union Canal and the River Thames.
Now I know that some of you are thinking, 27 miles? That's only a bit more than a marathon and she's walking it, that should be easy enough. Well, I broke my foot three weeks ago so it's not going to be easy. It's going to hurt. A lot.
So, here's the idea. If each one of you has one less pint on Saturday night and donates just £3.00 to my justgiving page (www.justgiving.com/lauraoakes27miles) then I'll reach my target, and you'll feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And you'll thank me on your hangover-free Sunday morning.
Many thanks. Love you all.

UPDATE
It turned out to be 28.5 miles, took 9 hours, 63,250 steps and 7 plasters but we completed Day 3! The last hour was really tough but we kept going and I really enjoyed it. The foot is quite black this morning but not too painful. Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me. x
