Hi everyone! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, if you've come this far that means you obviously want to dig deep and donate a little to charity!
On Saturday 28th November Nathan & I are cycling the 26 mile (40km) route around Rutland Water in aid of Raleigh International. We're donning our lovely green charity t-shirts and cycle helmets and we'll be pushing off from Whitwell come rain or shine - oh and I've checked out the weather forecast and it's not really looking that good... So if the thought of us getting absolutely drenched while doing exercise (!!!) still hasn't tugged at your heart strings and persuaded you to donate then here's a bit about the charity we're doing it in aid of.
Raleigh International works closely with
governments and local
people to run sustainable and worthwhile community and enviromental
projects in Borneo, India, Costa Rica & Nicaragua. These
include constructing health & education facilities, providing basic
amenities such as fresh water to areas in need, and sustainable
environmental conservation. Not only that, Raleigh also works with
disadvantaged
young people within the UK, getting them off the streets and
encouraging them to fundraise and take part in similar development
projects, truly changing lives and motivating worthwhile education and
employment on their return.
I feel this is such a worthwhile cause to fundraise for and am truly grateful for all your donations.
Thank you thank you thank you!! Lauren xxxx
