Thanks for visiting my page!
In a few weeks I will be running the London Marathon - all 26.2 miles of it - for charity and need your help!
The charity acts as a hub between people suffering with back disorders and diseases and supplies them with information and support, promoting good practice and funding research. If you want to check them out: www.backcare.org.uk.
The goal is to raise £4,000 to help this amazing charity continue the good work to help people with back problems similar to mine. We are well on the way - a BIG thank you to friends who have already donated!!
This is quite a personal issue for me so I am looking forward to helping a charity that supports people in my position. Since 2004, I've had several spinal surgeries and operations, one which caused 3 blood clots in my lungs. My surgeons were surprised that I survived and I was told I should not expect to be able to have as much mobility and definitely not run competitively again.
Throughout my training the past few months, I've managed to trap a nerve in my back but I'm still training! Help me and this great charity by donating anything, even if its pennies!
Thank you for your support!
We've gotten some media support who are reporting on the story as well:
