Last year lots of you helped me to raise £320 for Amica Pregnancy Crisis Centre when I participated in the Great Scottish Walk.
This year, Amica are holding their own sponsored walk at Almondell & Calderwood Country Park on August 29th. I'll be part organiser, part walker.
Amica (latin for 'friend') continues to provide wonderful, open-door support to women, men and couples faced with a crisis pregnancy or struggling to deal with issues caused by abortion or miscarriage. Most people have been affected by at least one of these in their life or know someone close to them who has. Our service is available free to everyone and we take a completely non-judgmental stance.
Amica Pregnancy Crisis Centre runs on a shoestring with only two part-time staff and a team of commtted, trained volunteers. It has only a few small grants from trusts and donations from individuals and churches. So fundraising efforts are important.
For more information about Amica and other pregnancy crisis centres around the UK go to www.careconfidential.com
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Amica Pregnancy Crisis Centre gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Every penny counts, so if you can give a donation that would be lovely and so very, very appreciated. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
