Eclectic Zoo (Blake Lapthorn)
In 1972, a classic rock cover band was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit (a version of smoke on the water). They promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no-one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the Blake Lapthorn band: Eclectic Zoo.
Blake Lapthorn's rocking teenage combo Eclectic Zoo consists of a number of misfits from around the firm...
• Amanda Morris makes up one half of the bands vocal line-up. Joint author of of "Neighbour Disputes: a concise guide to the law and practice" - what she doesn't know about winding up neighbours isn't worth knowing. Outside of work, Amanda collects Leylandii plants.
• Marlene Hill is the other half of the vocal line-up. Marlene brings an international quality to the band as the only American and boy can she deliver a tune. Marlene's party piece is being able to recite every mint business classification code in the right order to the tune of the William Tell overture.
• Adrian Griffiths is Eclectic Zoo's dynamic lead guitarist and the secret weapon. Adrian is the newest member of the band and is an avid collector of build your own Brian May magazine which comes with a handy ring binder.
• Jay Walker - he can't keep off the roads in the US for love nor money but he is Eclectic Zoo's rhythm guitarist and adds the only credibility to the group (despite the lack of hair for authentic head banging).
• Richard Wade is a construction law specialist and for one night only Richard will be swapping the JCT for a Peavey.
• John Parkinson is the drummer in the band. He keeps the band going at various inconsistent speeds and plays too loudly.
