Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

We are a Colchester based charity which provides specialist palliative and end of life care to local people facing incurable illness in north east Essex, supporting them, their families, friends and carers.

Story

U’s Retail & Ticket Office Manager Lee Hyde is preparing for a challenge of his own, along with the club's fluffy mascot Eddie the Eagle, later this year to help raise money for St Helena’s Hospice.

The club have enjoyed a long standing relationship with the Hospice and, as Eddie looks to continue his quest to become the Football League’s fittest mascot, he has teamed up with Lee and the Hospice to run the world famous London Marathon later this year.

The 26-mile race, which takes place on Sunday, April 25th, will see the U’s heroes join thousands of other runners in hitting the capital’s streets, with the hope of raising large sums of money for the local charity.
