The Fitzwilliam Meeting on Sunday 14 March at Cottenham racecourse near will be hosting a frenzied waxing campaign to help raise money for The Injured Jockeys Fund (IJF).
Several East Anglian Jockeys were injured last year, being Rosie Chinery, Tony Williams, Matthew Mackley, Alex Vaughan Jones, Johnny Bailey;
With the amazing help of the IJF who give free compassionate and financial support to any Jockey whilst injured; They particularly helped Rosie Chinnery and Tony Williams; Therefore as a way of saying a Huge thank you we have arranged a fundraising event to raise money for this very obliging charity.
OK, this is how it works – 10 Jockey’s are going to have one leg waxed in front of spectators after racing at the Fitzwilliam Meeting; The Jockey with the most sponsorship will maybe get a little leeway from the waxing girls… However the Jockey with the least sponsorship might get more than he bargained for!!!
