DAY FOUR: Currently in Fontainebleau, some pretty hard riding in very hot sun has got us half way across France! Looking for hotels has been very stressful and not what you want to do after a day on the road. Fontainebleau is heaven, we arrived well ahead of time, found the best food so far and booked in for the night! Feels like such an achievement!!!  Off to Sens tomorrow----more from the road later!!!

On Sat 3rd June we took part in the JP Morgan Round the Island Race on our bikes! We raced kids from the Ellen MacArthur Trust on Scarlet Oyster and Ellen MacArthur onboard Chernikeeff II. We came in first place, followed shortly by Ellen and then the kids, helmed by a 14yr old girl, putting Scarlet Oyster 238 out of 1587 yachts!!!!!!!! For more info visit www.ellenmacarthurtrust.org

This July we shall be cycling from Le Havre in France to Geneva in Switzerland. Our route will take us through Paris, Dijon, Besancon and then down into Switzerland. Neither of us are experienced riders (we've been training hard though!), but we're taking on the challenge of this trip to raise money and to thank the trust for taking our brother, who has cancer, saling last summer.

Our total ride distance is estimated at 500- 600miles depending on the route planner!!
