Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As some of you know I have a very personal reason for raising funds for the fairybox. If not, here's my story. In December 2010 my son Scott William Harris (Scotty) was diagonsed with leukaemia whilst getting treatment in Aberdeen Childrens Hospital he met his extra "big sister" Zoe Michelle Geddes, who also had leukameia. Sadly both Scotty and Zoe lost their brave battle in 2011. The fairybox was a huge part of their day helping them forget about the gruelling treatments that lay ahead. Not only does the fairybox give joy to terminally ill children it also gives joy to children as day patients. Myself and 3 of my friends have decided to run the Edinburgh Marathon 2012 in memory of both Scotty and Zoe, and hopefully to raise funds for the fairybox to allow this wonderful charity to continue sharing the smiles x.
