Ok this is not the body of a seasoned athlete - nor the running atire - because, as most of you know, I don't normally do things like running.
Infact - I don't 'do' trainers, shorts, bottled water (unless accompanying my glass of wine at dinner...) I don't 'do' sweating, getting up early on Sunday mornings and going out without anywhere to put my lipstick, perfume or mobile phone and certainly not where there's an overwhelming possibilty that my hair might get wet..........
So what am I doing here? And what is this all about?
Well you see, it's about my boy and about all of the thousands like him in the North East who have some form of autism spectrum disorder.
And I would do ANYTHING, ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING, to help them.
It is such a privilege for us at the centre to work with so many beautiful, charismatic children - and we want to continue to provide this invaluable service....and indeed much more! So please, please support me in raising as much money as I can by taking part in this year's Great North Run.
PS I feel sure there will be enough room on the podium for me and Paula. x
