Case study: donations in action
Your donations will make a difference to people such as Simon Bowes. Simon was diagnosed and living with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) at the age of 17. He had a successful bone marrow transplant in April 1993, and continued to avoid any serious infections. To this day, Simon had maintained a positive outlook despite having long lasting damage to his internal organs. Through a Leukaemia CARE Support Group in Sheffield Simon has been given the chance “to feel normal”, he recalls. " We all understand how each other is feeling and can offer support, both emotionally and on a practical level, through sharing experiences." The support group that Simon attends is well established but we need to offer similar support in other parts of the country. Your donations will enable us to set up more Support Groups all over the country so that every patient has the choice to attend one. Donate now and choose to help people such as Simon.
