My story

 

Following the amazing success of the Devon coast to coast ride recently the theme of bicycles and long-distance cycling returns to the Alice Rose trust just giving.com website.

On September the 17th I will be setting out from Biarritz and attempting to cycle 638 km, climbing 10,000 vertical metres in five days.

Some of you may well know that Lawrence Dallaglio did this route several years ago and I will be attempting to beat his time by 3 1/2 days. I have the advantage of being almost half his weight but the disadvantage of never having played international sport or of being a British Lion.

Although this trip was initially designed for personal " pleasure " (for this read midlife crisis), soon I realised it was a perfect opportunity to make some money to the Alice Rose trust.

Please give generously to this fantastic charity to support the work of the trust and I will not be holding any money back for professional massage or plastic surgery to my buttocks.
