This is the first time I have asked anyone personally to donate to a charitable event but this little known charity needs all the help it can get.

I first became aware of this form of cancer (which only affects children under the age of 5) when one of my good friend's daughters suffered from it when little more than a baby and had to have an eye removed.

But rather than feeling sorry for herself as she grew up, this remarkable girl made it her ambition to help others in this position and she went on to study medicine and is now specialising in the treatment of this form of cancer in London.

It must be so comforting for parents of children fearing the worst to be able to see what can be achieved when discussing their child's condition with a doctor who has suffered from but overcome it.

So thanks for taking the time to visit my web page.

I am assured that donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving as they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. I think it is the most efficient way to donate.

Whatever amount you can give will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks a lot.
