"England's libel laws are unjust, against the public interest and internationally criticised - there is an urgent need for reform." This is the message of performers, writers, poets, patient groups, legal experts, broadcasters, journalists and other supporters of the Coalition for Libel Reform (English PEN, Index on Censorship and Sense About Science). The Coalition is urging politicians to commit to major reforms of the English libel laws now, in the interests of fairness, the public interest and free speech.
