Some of this may shock, but we'll see!
Lisa and Jules, yes, that's us,
We've been training, by walking, and plus!
The London Marathon we're going to run,
With a few months to go, it’s going to be fun!
We might be mad, in fact, that’s for sure,
Training 6 days a week, is going to be a chore!
Couple of weeks in, things are going fine,
But we need your support, over this time!
We're definitely like the film, 'Run, Fat Boy, Run'
But please no spatulas, on the bum!
Now to the important part, especially for us,
The main reason were doing it, is thus!
Osteoporosis runs through our families, and friends,
One in two women suffer, that’s scary trends!
Our parents suffer with pain, it’s hereditary too,
How they get through it, we haven’t a clue!
We’re sure the race, will cause us some pain,
But at least we’ll know, it wasn’t in vain!
So here's our plea, for help, to you,
Please spread the message, to others too!
A very good cause, and we want to raise tons,
So please dig deep, and help the funds!! "RUN GIRLS RUN!!":-
You can catch us Saturdays on "107.4 The Quay" where Paddy Range will be supporting and giving us some banter!! We're in portsmouth newspaper 'The News' TODAY (3/3/10)!! We were also in the Petersfield Post and the Newbury Weekly!! Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
