Two months ago a very special person lost a long and hard battle with cancer. Dawn Lewis was a truly amazing person, she was loved by hundreds and valued by many, and will always be missed and never be forgotten. Dawn was treated in Wigan and Leigh hospice, and received the upmost care, treatment, and kindness that anybody could wish for. We want to carry on Dawns legacy, and help raise essential funds for the hospice who continually went that extra mile to ensure Dawn was comfortable and treated with the respect and dignity she deserved. We will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, next October 2010, and hope to raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile and very special place. We would be extremely grateful for any donation you can spare, whether small or large, as every penny helps the hospice care for other people, just as Dawn was cared for. Just a small amount of money can help keep someone alive for an extra week, pay for an extra hospice bed, or provide essential medicine to treat the patients.
Dawn was an extremely special and loving person, who lived for her 4 year old daughter, husband, and family, and was adored by many friends. She was taken from us in the cruellest of forms, and suffered more than anybody should ever have to suffer. Yet she maintained her strength, humour and character throughout the whole of her suffering, and touched more people's lives that can be imagined. She will always be missed.
Our 10-day climb up Mount Kilimanjaro will begin 2nd October 2010, please donate whatever you can spare. Anything and everything will be gratefully received. Thank you.
