Dear Friends,

So far this year I've done several running events for charity and for fun but now I am doing something different for a challenge.  I thought I would do my first triathlon!

I decided to register myself for the first Liverpool Triathlon (http://www.liverpooltriathlon.co.uk/) taking place on 21st June and, me being me, I put my name down for the Olympic Distance:

1.5km swim
40km bike
10km run

I am competing in the event with Martin Okereafor and Dave Owens for mutual support, training and competition.  We may, if enough money is raised, do the event in fancy dress and bring the WWE superstars to Liverpool...  Only if we raise enough money!

The charity I am collecting for is Alcohol Concern.  It is a cause that has been very close to my heart during the past few years and yet, despite the devastating effects it can cause to individuals and families it is very rarely discussed in public.  For more information on what the charity does please visit:
