I did it. The Potter's Arf on 8th June. My first half marathon for 24 years and it was hot! I finished in 2 hours 10 minutes and 54 seconds. The temperature was more of a challenge than my injured knee and I spent a lot of time drinking water. Maybe I should have been sponsored by the pint and not the mile. You can see pictures here.

Douglas Macmillan supported my family when Andy my first husband (pictured) was dying. They didn't take away the sadness and the grief of losing him but their dignified, practical support gave me the time and their emotional support gave me the understanding to make our last few days together stress free and positive. After the exhaustion and tiredness of caring for him it was like an oasis of tranquillity. A priceless gift. Please donate generously.
