From 26th to 28th August 2009, Damian and Leon Markham are going to cycle 200 or so miles from London to Stoke on Trent in order to raise money for the Douglas MacMillan Hospice.

Completely unafiliated with a national Cancer Charity of a similar name, the Douglas MacMillan Hospice, or Dougie Mac, relies on the public for the majority of its running costs and by sponsoring me you will really be helping them out - especially now Anthea Turner has stopped supporting their Christmas Oatcake appeal.

Like so many people, we've had a lot of reason to be grateful to the Dougie Mac - many years ago they were wonderful to our mother during the final stages of her illness, and more recently they helped the father of a very good friend of ours.

If you're a UK Tax Payer then justgiving is able to reclaim some tax on your donation - which means that goes even further.
