Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 23rd Jan 2011 I will be attempting the Guinness World record for "The Fastest Marathon run as a bottle" at the Gloucester Marathon. I have decided to run as a bottle of "Wilkin & Sons Ltd 'Tiptree' Brown sauce" I hope I don't bottle out at the last minute!
On the 20th March 2011 I will attempt the Guinness World record for "The Fastest Marathon run as a Dairy product" at the Cotswold Marathon.
On 17th April I am running the London Marathon twice. Starting at 4am at Buckingham Palace I will run 26.2 miles from the finish to the start of the marathon. Then at 9.45 I will join the 40,000 runners in the official London Marathon running another 26.2 miles back to Buckingham Palace. So that's 52.4 miles in under 12 hours hopefully! I will be running as a Gingerbread Man and attempting to break the world record for the "Fastest marathon dressed as a Gingerbread Man". This is a very difficult suit to run in and is probably the most difficult costume I have ever attemted a marathon in.
I will be runing for Ashgate Hospice. My mother-in-law passed away in Ashgate Hospice several years ago so I would like to repay the love and kindness shown to her in her final days.
